46 countries — 46 tales of hope
A collection of fairy tales from around the world to support Ukrainian children who lost their sight due to the war.
A collection of fairy tales from around the world to support Ukrainian children who lost their sight due to the war.
This collection is more than just a book. It is a gesture of gratitude from the peoples of 46 countries who supported Ukraine in the first days of the war. Each fairy tale is a ray of light leading to a new life.
Funds from the sale of the book will help children with vision loss get a guide dog — a loyal friend and assistant.
38,000 Ukrainians have lost their sight due to the war. Among them are children. For them, the world has become dark. A guide dog means not only safety but also joy, independence, and new hope. However, there are almost no such dogs in Ukraine. We are changing this.
The book includes original or folk tales from each of the 46 partner countries. The design uses tactile elements and Braille (in a special version).
Each story is adapted for perception by children with visual impairments.
The project is implemented by the NGO "WEYS GUIDE DOG" in partnership with leading rehabilitation specialists, publishers, designers, and international organizations. All rights reserved.
The book is being created with the support of the Endowment Fund for the sustainable financing of guide dogs.
Even without a purchase, you can be there
