We train guide dogs in Ukraine to give people with visual impairments independence, confidence, and quality of life.

About us

The WEYS GUIDE DOG Guide Dog Training Center is the first in Ukraine initiative that combines training of service dogs, support for people with disabilities, legislative changes and an information campaign.

Although the main target group is people with visual impairments, the project also covers other categories that can benefit from service dogs.

Our mission is to restore independence, safety and dignity to veterans and civilians with the help of specially trained assistance dogs.

The main problems we solve:

Lack of infrastructure

There is no system for training guide dogs in Ukraine.

Financial inaccessibility

The state does not finance the maintenance of guide dogs.

Imperfect legislation

Guide dogs are not recognized as a means of rehabilitation.

Barriers to Accessibility

People with Guide Dogs Face Obstacles in Transportation and Buildings

Low Public Awareness

Most Citizens Are Not Aware of the Rights of Guide Dog Owners.

Growing Need for Guide Dogs
